According to Judge Black's ruling, a white man can get liquor for an Indian if the Indian gives him money and the white man exacts no toll in the transaction. |

| death | Rushlow, Louise | Obituary - - Rushlow. Louise F. Onitio was born in Wayne County, Michigan in 1850 of French parentage and died in Marysville WA 1 Feb 1912 after a very brief illness. She was united in marriage to Henry Rushlow in 1897 in her native state and they, with their family moved to Marysville in 1897, where she resided until her death. To this union were born 13 children, six of whom survive the deceased, besides her husband, Henry Rushlow. The surviving children are: Medames, A. J. McDonald and Albert Smith of this city; J. G. of Everett; Frank E. of Camano; Charles in the Isthmus of Panama; and Mrs. Alice Kucks of Centralia. The funeral was held from the Catholic Church last Sunday at 2 pm. Rev. Father O'Donnell officiating. Interment took place in the Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Undertaker C. H. Shafer. |

This will be the third operation and it seems that Clyde is certainly have his share of trouble in this world. |

Three weeks ago he had his foot badly hurt by the horses stepping on it. Last Thursday the team ran away throwing him off the shingle load and hurting his side and foot so he can barely get around, but Al had to see how Marysville was getting on. Now if Al had said" It was a certain popular young lady with those eyes so blue that I had to see" he would have nearer the truth. Never mind Al you aren't the only one who thinks she is alright, there are others but they don't stand the chance you do. |

One burly fellow walked up to him and asked him for two bits. Chas. said he was broke and the fellow to "frisk" him and Chas. promptly knocked him down. The hobo called for his partner who was hard by, and Chas. took to his heels, reaching home without further adventure. |

| death | Sidney, Charles Alexander | Obituary - Sidney. Charles Alexander Sidney was born in Boice City ID in 1873 and died in settle on Thursday, 8 Feb 1912 of Tuberculosis of the Bronchial Tubes, being 38 years of age. At the age of 4 months he came to Washington by way of the Oregon Trail with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sidney Sr. who settled in what is now the city of Seattle. He was preceded to the grave by his father some twenty-five years ago. He died at the family residence of his mother, Mrs. H. B. Decker, 10 Ave South, and the remains were laid to rest in the Lake View Cemetery on Sunday 11 Feb 1912. The deceased leaves two brother, George Sidney Jr. of this city, Roy Decker of Seattle and sister, Mrs. Mary R. Williams of Seattle. Mr. Sidney was one of the first settlers of Seattle, and leaves many friends and acquaintances in the city. |
| marriage | Dahl, Emma Nelson, Albert C. | Nelson - Dahl. Married in Everett by Rev. Foss, of the Lutheran Church Saturday noon, February 10th, 1912, in Everett WA. Miss Emma Dahl to Mr. Albert C. Nelson, both of Marysville. Miss Dahl is our popular Milliner, having been in the business for the past six years. She is the next youngest daughter of Mr. Hans Dahl of this city. Both the contracting parties came to Marysville eight years ago from Yankton SD, having been playmates from childhood. Mr. Nelson was formerly engaged in the grocery business in Lakewood, but is now employed in one of our big mills. At the marriage ceremony Miss Dahl was supported by her sister Miss Alma Dahl, while Mr. Herman Nelson, a brother of the groom, acted as best man. Both the young people are held in high esteem in this city which is attested in the fact that a chirivari parties visited their home on Monday evening. The Globe is among many other well wishers for their future. |

| accident - train | Lashua, Martin, Ione | Stimson's Crossing - Much credit and many thanks are due the Messrs. Lashua for saving the life of little Ione Martin last Monday afternoon. One of them snatched her from the middle of the R. R. track not a moment before the 2:00 o'clock flyer passed. She was left in the house security while the mother was hanging up clothes. One of the children went in and came out leaving the door open, when little Ione went out, making her way immediately to the track in front of the house, unknown to the mother. |
| death | Trainer, Ed | Ed Trainer Is Dead. The community was shocked Thursday to hear of the death of Edwin S. Trainer, formerly of Marysville, but for the past six months a resident of Whidbey Island. Last summer Mr. Trainer purchased a ranch at Dugualla Bay and moved his family there and had since been improving the same. He was taken ill three weeks ago and has since grown steadily worse until his death last Thursday. He leaves a wife and six young children. The funeral will be held under the auspices of the MWA from the home of Mrs. Trainer's father, Mr. Harbinger on Sunday afternoon. |
